We went out and played

Almost every Friday, my best friend, Josie, and I go out to play. And Makati is our playground.
Meatballs!
After 2 drinks, I got extremely hungry. I was telling Josie about Maitre Chocolatier (met/sho/koh/luh/ti/) for a week now so we walked a few paces from Fiamma to get our gelato fix. A few blog entries ago, I mentioned that I've been dying to look for the best Ferrero gelato in the Philippines. So far, Chateau Hestia and Maitre Chocolatier are tied for the first position.

They have a mini chocolate grocery on one side of the room

Den, Mica, and Erika, thank you for letting us play with you guys! I had such a great time! Happy birthday again to the three of you!

Wolfgang Fuck.

I was looking through Your Evil Twin's website a few days ago when I saw a wolf's head on one of the twins. I'm not very good with photoshop but I decided to experiment. Check out mister roboto with that wolf head! I'm on a whole new level of amateurism!
I had one of the hippest kids I know commission something for me. Renzo, you are my c00lest friend. HAHAHAHA!
Since Renzo made one for me, I attempted to make one for him!

Happy birthday, Ray!

I'm currently backlogged with so many posts. I failed with my 30 day song challenge. I have yet to post 2 more entries. I feel so committed to this blog, for once!

Last Tuesday, The Random Group surprised Raymund for his 18th.

BonChon dinner with Josie! I never get to take a "before-and-after" picture because I'm usually over-excited with the food and I end up clearing the plate before I remember to take a photo.
Being silly with Michelle.

Apparently, I inspired her to blog. It's a great achievement for me knowing someone appreciates my musings.

With my greatest challenge, Ricardo.

They got him a really cute customized "brat prince" shirt.
Happiest birthday, Ray! This also marks a year of our friendship. A year and counting. I love you!

Spring Cleaning

I decided to clean my room a few days back and I realized I had so many things I didn't need. I ended up throwing away four garbage bags and three small boxes of useless things. I'm the kind of person who's attached to my material possessions because they all have sentimental value. But then I figured that I don't even use these things anymore and someone else could.

Day 13

I skipped Day 12 (A song from a band you hate) because I didn't have a song for it.

Day 11

A song from your favorite band
You can trust me not to drink and not to sleep around. And if you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down.
Hey Jealousy; Gin Blossoms

I still regret not going to their concert when they came! :-(

Gentle Giants

Last April, my mom and I went to Donsol to swim with whale sharks. Just thinking about it sends shivers down my spine. We got to see a total of 5 different whale sharks. If I extended my arm in front of me, I'd be able to touch the sharks. We were that close!

I'd do this all over again. ♥

Day 10

A song that makes you fall asleep
Towards The Sun; Alexi Murdoch

Morning Dew, Morning Dues

I'm usually not a morning person. I'm very cranky and I don't like talking to anyone in the morning. Today was completely different. Maybe because of my lack of sleep. I watched No Strings Attached until 5 in the morning. My stomach forced me to get out of bed and eat. I never eat breakfast. I probably eat breakfast only in the province or in my dad's house and I rarely even go to those places. So while waiting for Nilda, our househelp, to finish cooking corned beef and garlic rice, I decided that this would be my new daily routine. Music, cigarettes, and coffee.
Don't mind the roll of tissue paper. I have a really bad allergy at the moment.
My friend Deej makes the best playlists. Dirrrrrty Dubs is one of my favorite and most played playlist on my ipod and on my itunes.
Rolling In The Deep (Damn You Mongolians Remix); Adele

My morning skyline
It was pretty breezy when this morning but I didn't expect that it would last. I was right though, I started working up a sweat after breakfast. It was all too awkward when my stepdad went out to the porch while I was smoking so I retreated to my room instead. It was a pretty good start to my day so I'm thinking I might start doing this routine every morning.

Day 9

A song that you can dance to
Miami 2 Ibiza; Tinie Tempah ft. Swedish House Mafia

Day 8

A song that you know all the words to
I miss you, my best cousin in the entire world. You know who you are!
Buses and Trains; Bachelor Girl

Bar Dolci

I got to hang out with Melissa, one of my best friends, yesterday. Melissa and I have this shared love affair with Ferrero gelato. We're trying to find the best one in the Philippines. Before last night, I've only tried the one in Chateau Hestia. Melissa and I headed to Bar Dolci, this little cute place in Burgos, to taste their Ferrero gelato. (Sorry again for the crap blackberry photos!)

Ferrero-Tiramisu gelato (Ferrero > Tiramisu)
Different kinds of gelato!
The counter!
I might head to Jupiter next week and try the Ferrero gelato in Maitre Chocolatier. Melissa swears that the place is heaven. They even have Nutella hot chocolate. So I'm pretty excited for next week to come already!

Day 7

A song that reminds you of a certain event
It reminds me of home. It reminds me of the sun coming up. It reminds me of my every waking day.
Generator ^ First Floor; Freelance Whales

A.P.C.

I have this 'thing' I like doing. I like looking at men's stores and look at the things I'd like to buy for my boyfriend (I mean, hypothetically. If I had one). Ever since I read about APC, a minimalist brand since 1988, through Chuvaness' blog, I immediately fell in love. So when I read about it having a pop-up store in Power Plant, I had to go and do my 'thing'. (Crappy blackberry photos, edited in photoshop)
Atelier de Production et de Création by Jean Touitou
Nebula T-Shirt, around PHP3100+
Men's moccasins
Weaved bracelets, around PHP3100+ a piece
This frustrates me knowing I don't have:
1. A boyfriend
2. Money

All I have is:
1. Ambition
2. The pleasure of making someone feel special through tangible or intangible things.

A.P.C. will open or I think has already opened a new branch in One Rockwell inside Univers

Day 6

A song that reminds you of somewhere
This song reminds me of home. Back in the day when my parents were still together. Back in the day when I was innocent. Back in the day when everything was simple.

The Way You Look Tonight; Frank Sinatra

Day 5

A song that reminds me of someone
I don't really associate songs to people but this song (and the rest of a playlist I made) reminds me of a certain someone. I hope that everything is going smoothly for you, but know that everyday I miss you, 5000 miles away.
Stick Around; Azure

I'm transferring to Ateneo!

LOLJK.

Journeyed to the other side of the metro yesterday and I regret not bringing my camera. I ended up taking photos using my blackberry so please do forgive me for the shamefully edited photos.

I woke up extremely early to go to the Fort to meet up with Jason (who I don't have a photo of). We made our way to Katipunan because I promised friends I'd visit. I've never really eaten wicked oreos until today! Kenny made me some this morning and it was legit melting in my mouth. Crazy!

Breakfast with Migo (and Kenny) in ISO.
SecWalk with Josh!
Starbucks with Alex
Kenny Rogers with my crap friend, Neric.
Feelin the heat in Katip!
I missed taking photos of other friends which makes me :( But it was an overall good day yesterday. Might travel up north again this Friday! Thank you to everyone I hung out with today. To my high school friends I saw, I missed you guys so much! :( This seriously makes me miss high school, its crazy!

Day 4

I almost forgot to do this! I have 2 minutes before the day ends to post for my day 4! This is really a challenging meme k. The challenge for today is to post a song that makes me sad so here you go. One of the saddest songs that makes my heart melt :( My aunt's ex boyfriend wrote this song. This guy is my idol, he used to sort of teach me how to play the guitar.
Give Me Love; Kettle Mata (Original composition)

Day 3

A song that makes me happy:
I was in a pissy mood just a few minutes ago, complete with tears and anger. Then I heard this song play on my iTunes. I remembered the fun I had last night. And the beats dropped were chill and fun which lightened my mood so here you goooo.

Young, Wild, and Free; Wiz Khalifa ft. Snoop Dogg (High School)

Day 2

Today's category is my least favorite song. I was actually confused at first because I thought I'd have to put a song hated the most and I couldn't think of one. Then I realized it was 'least favorite' meaning if I had a group of songs that I considered my 'favorite', the song I'd pick for this category would be the one I liked the least in that group. I don't know if I'm making any sense. I just woke up a few minutes ago.
Give me a moment, please, to tame your wild, wild heart.

Crash and Burn; Savage Garden (Affirmation, 1996)

Day 1

So there's thing going around Facebook and Tumblr called the 30 day song challenge. The meme has certain categories everyday which you have to follow. I'm not really good at these things because I end up forgetting to do them, so this is really a challenge for me. Day 1 is immediately a challenge for me because I have to put my favorite song. The thing is, I don't have one. So I ended up choosing As Long As It Matters by Gin Blossoms only because the song falls under my favorite genre from my favorite decade, plus its not like the songs in this decade. The lyrics are actually meaningful.

The song is actually more special to me than it really is. My stepdad and I weren't really close at the beginning. He got to me the best way he can, and it was through music. He was sort of the rocker back in the day so he introduced me to the genre and to the band. I guess this song is actually my favorite and now I'm starting to regret not watching Gin Blossoms when they had a concert here.

As Long As It Matters; Gin Blossoms (Congratulations... I'm Sorry, 1996)

Raiel

My good friend Paolo (aka Raiel) has been doing this youtube gig for quite some time now and I feel like he's under-appreciated because I think he's really good at what he does. Show him some love! (Hi Pao, if you're reading this, Tom Gao is sexier than you in this video. Sorry!)
Elevator Music; Curren$y

My personal favorite is his cover of Jamie Foxx's Fall For Your Type

Give him the views he deserves! :)

Up in the trees

My blog was down yesterday and I couldn't post anything :(
Anyway, Josie and Hanna came over yesterday and we had a mini photo shoot on my garage's roof.
